Designed to fit smaller areas for splice storage are Mini and Micro Protection Sleeves. Micro Sleeves will only accommodate 250um coated fibers and have after-shrink diamter of 1.5mm. Mini Sleeves will accommodate 900um or 250um coated fibers and have after-shrink diameter of 2.0mm. Both sleeves are clear in color. Fusion splice protection sleeves provide vital protection at the fused juncture between two fusion spliced fibers. In addition to providing a substitute for the original cable jacket, splice protection sleeves provide a degree of rigidity that prevents the spliced area from bending or flexing.
