President
Upon joining Fiber Instrument Sales in 1993, Valerie found herself at the helm of the new International Department. Her experience in the United States Customs Service as an Export Coordinator and Inspector proved invaluable to FIS in expanding its business internationally. Following her success with the International Division, Valerie was appointed Domestic Sales Manager in 1995 and more recently to Senior Vice President. Building a team of highly trained and technically astute sales associates has been just one of Valerie's great successes during her time at FIS. Valerie is also President and principal owner of FIS Blue, a new FIS affiliate company created to serve the needs of Government and the Broadcast industries for specialized connectors and patchcords. Valerie is a graduate of Niagara University, NY. and holds a BA in Political Science.

Derek Curtis
Vice President
As Vice President of FIS Blue, Derek has overall responsibility for operations at the company's Corporate Headquarters and Regional Offices. Derek brings to FIS Blue considerable technical, management, and sales experience. Prior to joining FIS Blue, Derek was a Sales Engineer for Molex Premise Networks. He was also in Government Sales at Fiber Instrument Sales and was later appointed Manager of the company's Copper Division. Derek has completed numerous technical courses, including FIS Fiber Optic Courses and AMP NETCONNECT courses. These include Designing Premises Cabling Systems, Installing Premises Cabling systems and Certifying and Troubleshooting. As Vice President of FIS Blue, Derek has created a true team environment in which everyone works together to provide customers with fast service and the right products for their specialized applications.

Sarah Clemmons
Business Development Director
In September 2009 Sarah joined the FIS Blue team as Business Development Director. Prior to that date she worked at FIS as their Human Resource Manager. She also has fiber optic sales experience with FIS. Sarah’s human resource experience will be a benefit to FIS Blue in her new position. Sarah is a graduate of Niagara University, NY and holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice and is also a graduate of Syracuse University and holds an ABA Paralegal Certification.
