The unique Fiber Optic Lab Splice is ideal for making temporary fiber connections and can be reused hundreds of times. It is ideal for use in laboratory and testing environments, where fiber optic equipment and connections must be coupled and decoupled frequently. To install this fiber optic splice for instrument testing, simply insert a cleaved pigtail form OTDR or Power Meter to the cleaved unconnectorized fiber to be tested. Excellent for both multimode and singlemode fiber, the fiber optic Lab Splice accepts fiber cladding diameters of 125um to 140um. The Lab Splices are supplied in blister packs of 6, containing one of each color: watermelon, peach, lemon, lime, blueberry and grape. Lab Splices can also be purchased in blister packs of 12, which contain 2 of each color. In addition to Elastomeric Lab Splices, we can provide Mechanical Splices and Fusion Splicing Equipment for all of your splicing needs. |
